Hi. # less .my.cnf [mysqld_safe] log-error=/var/log/mysql/error.log
[mysqld] log-error=/var/log/mysql/error.log Also i have disabled syslog. But after restarting the server no errol.log is created. So does mysqld reads /root/.my.cnf ?
