First, are you running in LiveCD mode (the default) or have it installed on the machine? Second, PCLinuxOS mentions that it is a Debian derivative.[1] Therefore, you shouldn't be using RPMs. There are Debian/Ubuntu repositories[2], but I'm not sure which version of Debian or Ubuntu would match closely with PCLinuxOS.
