On a system with skip-external-locking = ON, why would I ever see a
thread state of "System lock" on a MyISAM table? This documentation:
https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/general-thread-states/
suggests that "... MyISAM storage engine uses file-based locks. However,
MyISAM's external locks are disabled by default ...", which makes me
think I shouldn't see them. Last night at one point I had several
threads stacked up in "System lock" status and trying to get to the
bottom of it.
It's 10.3.14, if it makes a difference.
Thanks,
Dan
