Dear Batchmates,
At the onset, I would like to apologize to our batchmate Andrew delas Alas
inasmuch that I am writing this email without securing his prior permission.
I dont know how and where to start my discussion and so I might as well go
direct to the point. Our friend, classmate and batchmate Andrew delas Alas has
been diagnosed with cancer last June and he is now, for more than a week
already, confined at the Medical City. This is not his first confinement. We
can only hope and pray at this point that he be able to step out of the
hospital in better condition. His health condition now, as advised by a
batchmate of ours who went to the hospital yesterday, is not so good. Far from
it, in fact.
Neither Andrew nor his family asked for financial or any other form of
assistance. They just asked for our prayers. But, guys, we all know how
financially draining it is to get sick, be confined at the hospital, especially
for the kind of sickness he has now. In fact, we received word na fully used
up na ang PhilHealth and other health card benefits ni Andrew. Thus, we should
know the drill. Hindi na tayo kailangan sabihan o hingian pa. Lets
contribute any amount we can and we better do it now . . . before its too late.
I will try to ask for Andrews or his wifes account details so that you can
send your contributions directly. If you trust me, you can also send it to my
account (but you better email or text me the amount and date of deposit so that
I can monitor it). I will thereafter confirm receipt of your deposit, prepare
a report of total contributions received and how much I have turned-over to
Andrew. Please text or email me privately should you need my account details.
Lets help Andrew and his family. Lets pray for his fast recovery, too.
