The Psychometrician reports directly to the Guidance Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities of the Psychometrician are as follows: 1. Assists the Guidance Supervisor in the planning and implementation of the yearly testing program: 1. Handles the procurement, inventory and safekeeping of psychological tests materials 2. Administers, scores and interprets the psychological tests given to student applicants for admissions purposes 3. Administers, scores and interprets the psychological tests given to teacher applicants and prepares the psychological report of each applicant based on test results 4. Coordinates with the Philippine Psychological Corporation and the Center for Educational Measurement, and other testing agencies regarding psychological test materials and schedules 2. Analyzes the different data/ test results and makes recommendations for the school’s programs and services for students. And disseminates data and evaluation results to faculty and administrators. 3. Prepares evaluation reports of co-curricular, extra-curricular activities and other programs in the unit 4. Handles the evaluation of seminars and workshops of the faculty development program 5. Coordinates with the Guidance Counselors in the administration and scoring of the different psychological tests for students 6. Presents data on students’ quarterly academic performance to faculty and administrators during the Year Level Assessment 7. Coordinates with the Research and Planning (RPMO) Office regarding research work 8. Coordinates with the Administration Manager’s Office regarding admissions procedures for incoming students 9. Attends meetings as a member of the High School Admissions Committee 10. Attends area meetings 11. Acts as a proctor during quarterly and entrance examinations 12. Prepares sectioning proposals for incoming freshmen 13. Prepares monthly accomplishment reports 14. Attends school functions and activities, both unit-based and institutional 15. May take on other responsibilities as requested by the Administrators through the Guidance Supervisor The candidate should be a graduate of Psychology preferably with MA units. S/He must have a background in psychological testing and research, knowledgeable in computer applications such as Excel and SPSS. S/He must be persevering and hardworking, organized and keen with details and able to deal with people. Applications should include a current resume and letter of interest.
