The extension will last until Dec. 31. In addition to extending the terms of the current contract, the following items were included in the agreement: Wages will be increased by 1 percent, effective March 20; all employees will receive a lump sum payment equal to 4 percent of their annualized basic pay; and pension bands will be increased 3 percent, effective July 1.
