Says SA VP for strategy and product marketing for subscriber networks Dave Davies, "Beyond connecting the home, we're looking to connect the life of the subscriber." A first step in this direction is a multi-room digital video recorder (DVR) which allows subscribers to spread DVR content out to as many as four television sets (including the set with the master box). "The new DVR," says Davies, “acts as the server allowing three other rooms to watch the same show at different times, to time shift or to watch four different recorded programs."
