TOP STORY - At an investment conference today, Scripps President and 
CEO Kenneth Lowe said that with the addition of Shopzilla, the 
company's online comparison shopping service, nearly 60 percent of 
Scripps total revenue in 2006 will come from its fastest growing 
businesses. That includes Scripps portfolio of national lifestyle networks, 
such as HGTV, DIY and Food Network.

Verizon said it's considering a sale of its directory business for about 
$17 billion --- Playboy Enterprises said profit growth from its 
entertainment and licensing groups will contribute an expected 20 
percent to 25 percent increase in 2006 EPS when compared to 2005 
results --- Broadcaster Belo signed a distribution agreement with Yahoo! 
HotJobs for job postings at The Dallas Morning News and Providence 
Journal --- Prudential lowered its rating on CSG Systems from "neutral" 
to "underweight" --- Jefferies and Co. initiated coverage of Viacom with 
a "buy" rating.

The Week Ahead

On Friday, FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy will depart the 
Portals. The Republican spent four and a half years at the commission, 
developing a reputation for promoting less regulation for media 
businesses but also working out differences among commissioners and 
staff. The FCC also will take up issues related to universal service.
