TOP STORY - Turner's GameTap expanded its vault of games as a 
result of new licensing agreements announced today with Interplay 
Entertainment, SNK PLAYMORE USA and Riverdeep. In addition to the 
new publishers, GameTap has deals with other publishers including 
Activision, Atari, Midway, SEGA, Vivendi Universal Games and Electronic 
Arts, among others. The service delivers games-on-demand and 
original programming via a broadband-connected PC.

Shaw Communications launched digital phone service in Vancouver --- 
Vyyo, a supplier of broadband access equipment for cable and private 
wireless broadband network solutions, said it was named a "Platinum 
Vendor" by the National Cable Television Cooperative --- ICTV said 
Sunflower Broadband will deploy its HeadendWare active programming 
services --- here! said it is delivering its gay and lesbian-themed 
programming online via Google Video.

Tom Eagan of Oppenheimer and Co. on DirecTV's broadband plans, 
some of which were unveiled this week: "Although no new initiatives 
were announced, CEO Chase Carey confirmed News Corp. Chairman 
Rupert Murdoch's comments regarding DirecTV investing up to $1 billion 
in a wireless broadband partnership. Possible partners mentioned 
included Intel and Qualcom. A DirecTV wireless broadband investment 
would likely comprise marketing and subsidies with a partner 
responsible for network infrastructure."
