TOP STORY - A multi-media advertising campaign focusing on 
the "pioneering spirit" of early cable operators is being launched in 
Washington, D.C., this week by the National Cable and 
Telecommunications Association. The effort features the slogan, "Cable: 
A Great American Success Story," and elements include TV, newspaper 
and magazine advertising. The campaign initially will run in the nation's 
capital and eventually expand to several markets nationwide in the 
coming months.

Gemstar-TV Guide International said it entered into a long term multi-
service agreement with Cox Communications, a deal that includes 
Gemstar-TV Guide's networks and interactive program guide 
technology --- YES (Yankees Entertainment and Sports) said it finished 
2005 with an average of 32,000 TV households watching its network per 
day, and 86,000 TV households per day in primetime --- Credit Suisse 
downgraded British Sky Broadcasting from "outperform" to "neutral" --- 
Cavalier Telephone completed the acquisition of Elantic Telecom, 
formerly known as Dominion Telecom. Elantic operates an 8,200 route 
mile fiber network in the Eastern United States.
