TOP STORY - Playboy reported fourth quarter net income was $4.6 
million. That compares to 2004 fourth quarter net income of $14.5 
million, an amount which included a $5.6 million insurance recovery. 
Total net revenues for the three-month period were up slightly, from 
$89.6 million reported in fourth quarter 2004 to $91 million for fourth 
quarter 2005.

The Dow surged today, jumping the 11,000 mark in heavy trading. The 
last time the Dow crossed 11,000 was Jan. 12 and the last time it closed 
above the milestone was Jan. 11, when it finished at 11,043.44 --- 
Scripps said revenue was up 15 percent to $69.9 million in January 
compared with the same month in 2004 --- BellSouth extended its 
marketing and sales relationship with DirecTV for another five years.

EchoStar said Michael Neuman resigned as president and CEO. 
Neuman's duties will be assumed by Carl Vogel, vice chairman of the 
company, and Michael Dugan, chief technical officer and formerly 
president and chief operating officer --- At Starz Entertainment Group, 
Andrew Nigolian and Christine Carrier were each promoted to senior 
vice president, affiliate sales and marketing, from vice president, 
affiliate sales. Nigolian works out of SEG's Philadelphia office and 
Carrier is based in Atlanta --- Robert Nelson was appointed chief of the 
Satellite Division in the International Bureau at the Federal 
Communications Commission --- Mike Mullen joined the National 
Association of Broadcasters as director of government relations.
