The Evening Bridge - February 16, 2006

TOP STORY - XM Satellite Radio said Pierce Roberts resigned from his
board seat, citing differences with the company's strategy of strong
growth at the expense of positive cash generation. That news, and a
fourth quarter net loss of $268.3 million, sent the stock down more than
5 percent. Said Bernstein Research analyst Craig Moffett, "The
resignation carries obvious headline risk, but does not mean that the
strategy chosen by XM management is incorrect." Moffett rates XM as
an "outperform" with a $42 target price.

BRIDGE Bonus
---------------------------------------------------------------------
>From this week's BRIDGE, on VOD technology: "On-demand video
libraries for cable are growing. And viewership is increasing by leaps
and bounds. Both of those facts require the cable business - as well as
new telco entrants - to look for a solution that helps customers navigate
all of the choices available via VOD. It's a new video paradigm:
Television viewing is shifting from browse to search. And in order to do
that, consumers will need help traveling through new and expanding
VOD territory." For more on The BRIDGE and to subscribe, visit:
