When the company I worked for got a new "visual identity", we were given a package that contained the following elements: A style guide, covering: * Elements: logo, associated color scheme, typography (how to use our official fonts) * Applications: business card, letterhead, envelope, mailing label, fax cover sheet, website And a CD, with logo elements for: * broadcast (we're a production company): .ai and .pct * computer icon: jpg (a bad choice I think) * eps/illustrator: eps black and white, ai, and eps color * jpeg: black and white, and color * used in templates: a couple eps's for the images used in some word templates Aside from the logo, we were also given a standard font and Word templates for the above documents. This package makes it easy to whip up a document that looks like everything else we make.
