extensions.gnome.org is going to be finished soon Though I no it is not according to "design", some gnome-shell maintainers even hate it I think. We'll need to think of the message to send.
IMO, as a funny reference, we should put a car analogy in there. I'm thinking of: - most people just buy a car with a few options and use it - select amount likes to customize their car to make it their own, for better or worse (like to have two pictures of a nice concept car, but also a questionable one with right copyright license) then announce extensions.gnome.org, close that our goal remains to provide a desktop which by default works for the 99%, but that we also think that those we do like to tweak their desktops should have an easy method to do so. Note my wording: 99% excludes kernel hackers. Not sure if we should say something about that explicitly or not. Ideally I'd like to give a few selected news sites access to extensions.gnome.org a few days before. As Dec 1 is later than when it should be finished, hope that is possible. Thinking the usual ones who report about GNOME (no matter if negative or not) in article style (so no news.ycombinator.com) or slashdot type websites, they'll link to a blog anyway).
