I did that at a local VMware Event. I walked around and talked to all the 
vendors and attendees about alternatives(CloudStack) to vCloud Director. It was 
quite productive. I even ended up talking to several VMware guys about it.

Note that many exhibitor contracts forbid this sort of thing - so if
Citrix is there, they can't sponsor this kind of thing. (Apache
CloudStack may be in the clear, but it would probably be a bit fuzzy for
money to flow from Citrix to do this.)

There's nothing wrong with people attending and talking to folks about
CloudStack, of course. Might even be more effective than the "stand in
the booth and hope" approach.
