Hi Chip --that works for me if it works for you.
Should you choose to pursue the non-press release route, I would, however, like
to announce privately to our media friendlies that this has happened, and use
Hugo's quote to explain the work behind it.
We don't have to use all the boilerplate naturally, but a quick extraction
summary would be beneficial.
Thanks so much,Sally + should you choose the non-press release channel, if you
could please coordinate amongst yourselves re: blog posting etc., that would be
great. If that's not possible, I'll help, but need to make sure I'm in the
office at the time needed. Otherwise it might need to wait until I'm back.

Rohit,
Sorry for just catching this, but 4.3.2 doesn't seem PR worthy to me (plus,
IMO, it's confusing to do a PR on an older support branch).
IMO we should just redraft this to look like a standard release announcement
(not press release).
Example:
https://blogs.apache.org/cloudstack/entry/announcing_apache_cloudstack_4_21
Does that make sense to you?

Hi everyone (bcc CloudStack press@ list) --below is an adjustment to Hugo's
quote as well as some edits to the press release, including adding info on the
upcoming MeetUp in Palo Alto.
Once the copy is locked in, we can announce as soon as you'd like. Just let me
know so we can synch up the actual tactics of getting it out the door :-)
Please let me know your preferred day/time, as well as any additional final
edits.
Thanks in advance,

[DRAFT :: NOT FOR DISSEMINATION]
Announcing Apache™ CloudStack™ v4.3.2
Bugfix release of turnkey Open Source cloud orchestration platform
[DATELINE] -- Apache CloudStack, the mature, turnkey Open Source cloud
computing software platform used for creating private, public, and hybrid cloud
environments, today announced Apache CloudStack v4.3.2, the latest 4.3 based
bugfix release of the cloud orchestration platform that "just works".
Apache CloudStack is an integrated Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) software
platform that allows users to build feature-rich public, private, and hybrid
cloud environments. CloudStack includes an intuitive user interface and rich
APIs for managing the compute, networking, software, and storage infrastructure
resources.
"The v4.3.2 release is a great demonstration of what a committed community can
achieve," said Hugo Trippaers, Vice President of Apache CloudStack. "Several
members of the CloudStack community stepped up to backport more than 100
bugfixes in response to a direct request from our users to support a release
that lied outside of our established release schedule."
CloudStack v4.3.2 is the latest 4.3 based bugfix release from the 4.x line
which first released on 6 November 2012. Noteworthy features of the major
CloudStack 4.3 release include:
- Support for Microsoft Hyper-V - manages Hyper-V hypervisors in addition to
KVM, XenServer, VMware, LXC, and Bare Metal
- Juniper OpenContrail integration - OpenContrail is a software defined
networking controller from Juniper that CloudStack integrates with to provide
SDN services
- SSL Termination support for guest VMs - configures and manages SSL
termination in certain load balancer devices
- Palo Alto Firewall integration - Apache CloudStack now manages and configures
Palo Alto firewalls
- Remote access VPN for VPC networks - CloudStack's remote access VPN is now
available for Virtual Private Cloud networks
- Site to Site VPN between VRs - CloudStack now allows site-to-site VPN
connectivity to its virtual routing devices. This permits cloud computing
environments to appear as a natural extension of a local network, or to easily
interconnect multiple environments
- VXLAN support expansion to include KVM - CloudStack's support for integrating
VXLAN, the network virtualization technology that attempts to ameliorate
scalability problems with traditional networking
- SolidFire plugin extension to support KVM and hypervisor snapshots for
XenServer and ESX - SolidFire provides guaranteed Storage Quality of Service at
the Virtual Machine level
- Dynamic Compute offering - CloudStack now has the ability to dynamically
scale the resources assigned to a running virtual machine instance for those
hypervisors that support it
"Existing users of CloudStack 4.3.x will benefit from any bugs found and fixed
in later versions without having to upgrade to the current released version of
Apache CloudStack," added Trippaers. "This is a very exciting new step --we
anticipate continued bugfix releases without fragmenting the community over
multiple release branches."
Downloads and Documentation
The official source code for the 4.3.2 release, as well as individual
contributors' convenience binaries, can be downloaded from the Apache
CloudStack downloads page at http://cloudstack.apache.org/downloads.html
CloudStack v4.3.2 includes over 100 bugfixes since the 4.3.1 release. A full
list of corrected issues and upgrade instructions are available in the Release
Notes

Availability and Oversight
As with all Apache products, Apache CloudStack 4.3.2 is released under the
Apache License v2.0, and is overseen by a self-selected team of active
contributors to the project. A Project Management Committee (PMC) guides the
Project's day-to-day operations, including community development and product
releases.
