Last Friday we ran an internal hack day at https://www.contentful.com and one of the project we worked on is https://github.com/contentful/contentful-2-couchdb a utility to synchronise a contentful space into a CouchDB database. This is a proof of concept of how Contentful users could easily export their content to CouchDB but also an interesting stub in the direction of showing how CouchDB replication might be used to distribute and synchronise content between servers and mobile devices.
