Hi Noah, I have to admit, that I am still not sure what the concept of AdvocatHub is. Sure, it is a marketing tool, but what will be the benefits for CouchDB? How will we use it. I do NOT question the usage since I am 100% sure that it is a good thing, because you have proposed it. If there was a thread already about the usage, I am sorry that I missid it (or did not understand it). Would you mind drop two sentences about it?
Although I have the little knowledge lack described above, her is my feedback on your suggested naming (maybe I have some suggestions myself later ...) : On 9 April 2014 18:17, Noah Slater <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey folks, > > So, we need to come up with two names: > > 1) A name for the AdvocateHub itself > 2) A name for the people who use it > > If you were a company specialising in mail, you might call your hub > "The Mail Room" and you might call your advocates "Posties" or > something. :) > > We should be aiming for something cute. But does not have a connection to the titles for the room above. "A Couch Surfer in The Lounge" or "A Couch Surefer in The Living Room" (would fit a bit ...) > - Loafers > erm ... what is this :) ? > Please: lemme know your thoughts! > done :) > > Thanks, -- > Noah Slater > https://twitter.com/nslater > Thank you for taking action :) Cheers -- Andy Wenk Hamburg - Germany RockIt! http://couchdb.apache.org https://twitter.com/awenkhh GPG fingerprint: C044 8322 9E12 1483 4FEC 9452 B65D 6BE3 9ED3 9588 https://people.apache.org/keys/committer/andywenk.asc
