Why couchdbweekly.com is better than blog.couchdb.org: - Topic focused: just fresh CouchDB news and nothing else (while blog is about everything) - May have better design / UX for readers (our blog ... you know) - Have something to share but wouldn't subscribe to ML just to send one link? Submit the form on site. - How about email subscription to just news receiving? - Weekly news in different formats: pdf, epub? - Better place for news manager to organize content: search for duplicates, trends, thematic news etc. - Finally, how to render news content is a open space for experiments while blog is just wall of text with few images. Boring. All these points certainly could be implemented for blog, but they wouldn't be so effective since blog is a blog, but weekly news is a bit different thing with different workflow. -- ,,,^..^,,,
