Hallo @all,

Hi Everyone
>I like the idea of announcing at Lyon
Yes for maximum exposure it would be ideal.
There was a splash screen competition:
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=announce&msgNo=237
<http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=announce&msgNo=237> We
could put up the entries and have everyone vote, 1 vote per IP address.
Just an Idea! But I think the 3 judge structure would be less complicated.
This page had details of the German competition but showing error
http://de.openoffice.org/marketing/v_wettbewerb.html
<http://de.openoffice.org/marketing/v_wettbewerb.html>
I believe Mr. Rolf Meyer, E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> might know more about the competition.
For more info:
http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eplanetpenguin%2Ede%2Fnews342%2Ehtml
<http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eplanetpenguin%2Ede%2Fnews342%2Ehtml> The
German competition uses LGPL licence
We can get some general ideas from here how to structure:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Developer_Article_Contest
<http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Developer_Article_Contest>
a) I think we need to create categories for entries i.e. Writer - Base -
Calc and then specify different types of templates for each category.
Participants can enter 1 template per category.
b) the Month of Templates is a good theme for time of competition and
if successful we can use theme in future, with an extra week for
reviewing and posting winners.
C) Decide how to divide the USD5000 - I like the idea of one overall
winner prize of USD1000 and the balance divided equally to the
categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner per category. Above the USD5000
is a marketing Doodad of some sort to participants who's templates which
will be used in Doc Project. I will forward the extra funds for this.
D) decide on who the 3 judges are
E) File format .ott with png image
Peace
Russell
