Hi all,
I would like to know if anyone is working on a "advantages" page?

I think we need to make a description of the differences between OOo and
LibO.

Cheers,
Leif

I don't think we need to compare and size ourselves to other distro's.
We could certainly advertise our overwhelmingly qualities and the
amazing community that will back up the product through a permanent
foundation.

I my opinion, we should only look forward and wish the very best to
our "competitors" with what they do.

We should always take the "high road" and we should never have to
resort to anything that could be construed as negative criticism or
negative advertising. We could leave those kind of strategies to any
other software company that is trying to catch up to our solid code
from our devs, our numerous features and our superb user support.

Just my opinion.

Hi Marc,
I'm not trying to emphasize LibO compared to OOo. But in every software
release, the users are asking: Whats new?

If we don't say what we have achieved so far our users will wonder why
we are hiding it.

/Cheers
Leif

But wouldn't this be done in comparison of your last list of offerings? I just find that this always leads to a competition that is detrimental to both groups. This is why you don't see much of it in advertising. Yes, you do see some, but by and large, products tend to stay away from it because your consumers then get used to comparing your brand to others. Keep the focus on the LibO brand, in my mind, is better.

BTW ... I would still not have a problem helping out either way. It's just my point of view.
