Have you ever had worries that your ISP would label you as a spammer for
the amount of email that you send?
The software sends a single email to each address, and my ISP knows my
business. Also, I use at least 3 different SMTP servers, each one for a
different purpose, so shipments are balanced.
OK. I'll prep a wiki page with this information and then we could link
the list to the documents when they are completed.
BTW ... list of TDF Spokespersons, plus local contacts for infos -- I
can take care of preparing a table for this. Are there any particular
fields other than:
/ Country / Region / Contact Name / Location / Email Address /
For contacts we also need phone number and possibly Skype nick, as many
journalists use Skype. As we are on different time zones, I would add a
time zone column, using the standard GMT +/- order.
We must agree on a basic set of infos which may be handled at local
level, and a wider set of infos which should (ideally) be handled by
spokespersons. Sometimes, it will be difficult to handle the process
without itches, as editors are always on a tight deadline (good old
common sense helps a lot).
Yes. Should we add this to a confcall where you could attend?
Yes, I think we can have a specific conf call next week to start
organize and then another one later on to polish the process. Actually,
I have media trained TDF spokespersons (via conference call, which has
been a nice exercise on my side, as this is usually performed face to
face), and we can think about doing something similar for TDF local
marketing contacts.
