Would duplication be a bad thing? I would guess that any 2 people would approach the topics from slightly different angles which would hopefully reach different types of markets, perhaps even linking to each other would increase the possible 'fanbase' of both! :)
If there is too much overlap then could you get together to agree on how to make it look as though you are competing or even fighting each other?
