Open Standards and Open Data - does this mean open file formats in the
standards and access to the data? If so, that leaves out MS's XML
formats of the last few years. There is nothing "open" about that.
Since, I have been told, that MS's "built-in support" for ODF does not
produce a clean file that can be read and viewed properly by software
outside of MS's control. This makes MS not a viable option for use of
the open format standard that ODF is meant for. So that leaves MS out
of the open standards and open data part of the "ruling", I hope.
