The United States is not the only country that slaps export restrictions
on software. Lawyers in those countries will also have to address the
issue, as it relates to import/export of both source code, and compiled
binaries, in those specific countries.
In all situations, the only safe assumption is that code from all
192/193/194/195/196/203/248/255/320 countries in the world will be
submitted to the project, and users from those countries will download
the code. (If you want an explanation for the number of countries I
list, start a _NEW_ thread addressing that question.)

Thanks for the information. We should follow the discussion that is
already taking place on the thread that I mentioned[1]. There is already
an exchange of information going on there and the latest is from someone
with ASF. Let's wait and see what they say.
