Yes, just putting "pending" in would help.  Just something to alert people here 
to the fact that we may not have organised representation just yet.  Colours 
are great but there are always other ways of doing things.

While this is a good idea, I don't think it would be practical as we would then 
have to have a legend on the calendar to advise the members as well as public 
and we would then have to fiddle around with the colours with the change in 
status.

I was hoping to keep the calendar as simple as possible. Maybe just a note on 
the entries that "LibreOffice representation PENDING" would be enough -- "short 
and sweet".
