Schedule for launch of LibreOffice 5.2
-> Pre-invitation to journalists this week (starting 13 June)
-> Announcement on Weds 3 (preferable) or 4 Aug
Pre-launch activities
-> Technical preview video created
-> In July, Italo to organise webinars to go through presentation and
launch materials
-> Webinars to be held on Mondays and weekends
Material for launch
-> Press kit - feature-rich release, lots of UI changes
-> Work with Heiko and Mike for press kits and new feature videos. Video
dedicated to just interface changes? Keep them short
-> Work on this second half of June and first half of July
-> Putting all new features in a single press release could be too much;
have general press release and technical addendum
Post-launch activities
-> Media briefings - Italo will share presentation beforehand
-> Several briefings targeted to international or English magazines;
possible members of the Board attending for additional information
-> Early August in some geographies is not a good time
-> Distribute press releases in local languages
