Hi all, The Board of Directors of The Document Foundation has previously determined that the mentioned Marketing/Communication Plan for LibreOffice will be implemented, as first iteration, for the release 7.1.
Inside the said Marketing/Communication Plan are proposed noticeable modifications to the look and feel of the application; if we want them to be implemented in time for the 7.1 release, due by the beginning of February 2021, the Board of Directors needs to approve the implementation of the Marketing/Communication Plan by the end of November (the proposed date is November, 25th, when a Board Meeting is scheduled). As such, we would love to hear and discuss any inputs coming from our beloved community members until November, 15th. I personally think the timespan for discussions has been long enough to encompass any arguments and thoughts yet (since July 2020 to now) and it is now time for some actions, for the sake of improving the sustainability of the project. I maintain this is a first iteration of the Marketing/Communication Plan, and as such details can be discussed/changed/refined even in subsequent iterations; but I would like (and I think other Directors share the same worry) to avoid any faux pas right from the start. So if you didn't yet interact on the subject and express your thoughts, please kindly do so as soon as possible - any idea is worth sharing and discussing - even more so if you are proposing different solutions to the action items identified by Italo.
