don't ecosystem companies also use "still" as the base for their
enterprise editions? Wouldn't dropping it mean that a part of the work
that is now "shared" (doing critical fixes and security updates) in
TDF's version is then duplicated to every vendor version (to a larger
extent than it happens anyway due to the editions provided by different
vendors being maintained in parallel), thus binding additional resources?

From my experiences so far, I'm not sure using "fresh" as a base for an
enterprise edition right away would be a good idea... ;-)
