Dear OpenOffice and apache.org,
I am writing to you for the following purpose: I have just set up a website of free fiction (to air my work as I doubt it would get published otherwise), and would like to make use of the space to provide links to companies/online services which are serious, free, admirable to my mind, and have been of great help to me.
The website is www.stiltedstories.com, where you can scan the content and consider my proposal and decide if it is in your interest to be associated with said webpage by placing a small advert at the base of one of the pages.
I am a beginner at web design and have no knowledge of programming languages, am still perfecting the small details of the layout, it is thin on content for the timebeing, so it is no marvel to behold as yet.
The emphasis is on "Less is more", and I want to keep the website simple, minimal, elegant if that is possible (despite beauty being in the eye of the beholder), and my idea was that were you to be interested in placing a banner size ad at the bottom of a page as a link, I would be more than happy to include this; I do not want more than one advert/link per page, as cluttered and flashing webpages are frankly annoying and not the style I wish to maintain.
While my terrible and somewhat peculiar fiction (and hence web) has only been up and running for around a week, and will no doubt remain at the furthest outposts of search engines forever, I hope my offering a small space is of some use to yourselves, I am unable to make donations as I am poor so my way of showing my gratitude for the excellent service you provide is the above suggestion.
To give you an idea of the advertising I personally would like to include, I am also writing to: wordreference.com, dictionary.reference.com (thesaurus.com), etymonline.com (Online Etymology Dictionary), Phrases.org.uk, and safer-networking.org.
