Hi, Knut and me are still looking at the events the Qt Project should focus on this year. Something that we need to break through is this usual EU-USA centrism you easily end up when planning on software events. Well, plus Australia and surroundings.
Latin America is also relatively easy, first because of the big attraction of Brazil (FISL & Latinoware) and also because I happen to be a Spanish speaker. But then... For instance, I reckon feeling kind of lost looking at India, even if all the information is in English. Then you can imagine how I feel trying to go deeper into Russia, China, Indonesia... There are huge developer communities there, but where to look at from a Qt Project perspective? And then there is big Africa... The Qt Project (and this includes Nokia and other corporate partners) needs better knowledge and firm connections in these countries. If something is going on in e.g. Norway, Germany, Finland, US... we know where to go. For Brazil INdT comes to mind as a good proxy, and in Russia there is FRUCT. Who else in these countries want to drive the Qt edge? Who wants to push the Qt presence in other countries? Step in. Let's consolidate a stronger global network. -- Quim _______________________________________________ Marketing mailing list [email protected] http://lists.qt-project.org/mailman/listinfo/marketing
