Hi, pin the dates in your calendar:

Qt Contributors Summit
June 21-23
Kalkscheune - Berlin

http://wiki.qt-project.org/Events/Qt_Contributors_Summit

The organization of this event is coordinated in this list.

Daniel Molkentin and me welcome volunteers!

There two priorities:

REGISTRATION

We are planning for a maximum of 225 participants. This should be enough
to cover maintainers and approvers. We will need to look at the
non-committers cases one by one. Who wants to be in the filtering?

About how to sign up, a wiki page should suffice. Workflow:

1 You are interested.
2. You sign up in a wiki page filling some basic fields (Name; link to
profile; Maintainer / Approver / Other; Module / Area... anything else?).
3. Someone reviews. Accepted are moved to non-editable Accepted page.
The rest are in waiting list.

PROGRAM

This is mostly an unconference. However we need to make sure the top
priority topics are addressed by the right people. A way to do this is
to leave the main room for scheduled sessions. We are aiming to have
streaming & video recording of the sessions in this room.

Lars, Marius and the rest of maintainers should agree on the schedule of
this room. Who chases them? Ok, not so urgent unless someone there
requires travel sponsorship, or anything requiring budget.

Also related: we need to decide how many rooms we are going to use and
the equipment needed. This also affects the budget.

ORGANIZATION

So far it's Daniel Molkentin and me.

Daniel is the local contact and he also has to make sure we are happy
about the critical point: wifi.

Quim is making sure the basics are in place: funding, venue, equipment,
food.

There is a lot to do and we welcome help. If you are interested step in
and tell us what area interests you more. All the better if you are not
working at Nokia. :)

About the budget: Nokia is sponsoring with a decent amount to secure the
event. Other sponsors funds are welcome to split costs. I can tell you
in advance that, when it comes to events, I'm a friend of utilitarianism
and austerity even without global crisis.
