Morning everyone.
I would like to start a contact list for everyone. I thought about putting
something on the Wiki, but I really wanted to get everyone's email address,
location, and areas of expertize, as well as hobbies that might be useful to
our efforts, so I think I would rather have that information offline for
everyone.
All those that would be willing to share that information if you could email
it to me at [email protected] I would really appreciate it.
I am going to create seperate list for those in the US, and those in
Canada. We can all share this information if no one has any objections.
If you speak an additional language other than english I would like to know
about that as well.
I am also looking into finding other ways for us to colaborate on things,
and would like your input on that as well.
Thanks

Hello James,
Overall I am in agreement with you thoughts.
Let me offer a one ideas here.
Getting to knew each other, who we are
A way to introduce to ourselves:
- setup your USER page at the TDF wiki ASAP
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User:Drew
I would plain out ask that everyone wanting to work on marketing get
your page up, then it's much easier to maintain another, North American
Marketing Team, page that acts as an type of roster. Details for any
individual is then a simple link back to your page. (in mediawiki syntax
that is a macro - when editing a page you just sign it with ~~~ the wiki
engine drops in a link back your personal user page)
If you are not familiar with mediawiki then that is even more reason to
go setup your page. The wiki is one of the major tools we have at our
disposal - if your wanting to work on the marketing functions here, IMO,
you need (must) have at least a cursory familiarity with setting up a
quick page. Your personal page is a great place to feel free to break it
and fix it, the only way to feel comfortable is setting up your first
page.
If you just don't know how to start on that feel free to drop me a
direct line or start a new topic in the list here.
more in a just a bit, but I'll just ask how folks feel about that idea
first? Anyone think this is too much?
Thanks
Drew
Hi Drew:
Sorry,
Your message arrived on Gmane after I mailed my response. Does the LibO
(former OOo) have a cultural preference for this?
Either system works for me.
Cheers
