Sorry, I was just taking it from the viewpoint of a native N.American

Marc, we are on the same track. Let's start with one good global news
story every two weeks, and we will learn how to find a good local news
story every two weeks. I will try to help you providing some help about
news finding and writing (at least, a couple of short papers to read).

Thanks Italo.

This will help out quite a bit. We will have to make the setting up of a blogging network one of our priorities in the US. We may need a bit of hand-holding at first. There should be a lot of great American resources out there. We just need to sign them on as members.

Cheers

Marc
