Hi folks, I really wanted to pass on a couple of thoughts:
This is a young project and most of the people on this list don't really know each other yet - try to make that change, talk to each other. More then this however get active, if you want a US community then YOU ALL will need to build it, no one can not do that for you. Someone will needs to step up and start to act as a community manager, there really is no chance if no one takes on that challenge and responsibility - If no one in this group does it, someone outside of it will do it for you. Want an English version of the LibreOffice DVD that the German community put together - download a copy and translate it - just do it. @Marc - if you want to make a LibO disc and give it to the schools in your area, just do it. The trademark guidelines are actually quite straightforward, just make it a disc from you - be a majority of one. @Dona, Carl - want a presence at the Northwest LinuxFest then just put it together. Use this list to ask for help if you need it, but be proactive don't wait on others. One final thought - in these kinds of environments people will come and people will go, don't let any one persons issues overly effect you.
