I'm fine with what is written. When I do serious DTP, I use other
great open source tools. However, the focus here is on LibreOffice,
not the universe of open source goodness. The description is accurate.

Try this...

Now:
Base is a full-featured desktop database front end, designed to meet
the needs of a broad array of users. The front end is a powerful
asset adding major functionality and potential to the other
LibreOffice applications.

Proposed:
Base is a full-featured desktop database, designed to meet the needs
of most users. It is a valuable asset for adding power to other
LibreOffice applications. Base can also be used as a front end to most
enterprise-class databases.

Use and modify as you wish. I think this describes Base in a way that
captures its low AND high end uses.
