Hi, I mentioned the OSFA[1] before - just wanted to give you an update on that.
Had the chance to participate in yesterdays marketing conference call there and will be do so on an ongoing regular basis. The OSFA website includes a blog aggregater and TDF has been invited to list our blog there. This is a content specific blog so they are not interested in everyone of our blog posts but rather those dealing specifically with Governmental concerns. This need not be limited to activities in the USA, though that would certainly be welcomed. OK - so how this works, whether it is a simple tag or something more embedded in the blog post so as to flag the particular article for display, the folks on the marketing call were not totally sure. I have the email address for the fellow that runs that service and will be getting details later this week on the specifics. They would be interested in any articles penned by the Document Foundation regarding ODF and why it is important in the public sector. This could be part of our blog posting or as a case study. Once again USA case studies would be great, but some European, South American, etc focused articles would also be welcomed. On a longer range note - they would like to be able to count on a TDF penned article about ODF in Government for next March's Document Freedom Day. Alright - there are a few items in my notes from yesterday, but that is it for this email.
