I would forward this to the TDF. AFAIK, LO is only available from the
main LO website, a few community websites, and Linux repositories.
Both Nmap and VLC are available through the Ubuntu repositories.
VLC has a Windows version as well. If you have Vista, it is one of the
better packages, since they include the codacs needed to play the media
files.
Download.com has apologised for bundling open-source packages,
including
Namp and VLC, with crudware toolbar installers.
But Sean Murphy, the vice-president and general manager of CNet's
Download.com, defended the policy of bundling more generally and
fell short
of endorsing an opt-in policy for software extras.
