I actually did a little digging online and got in touch with the
project lead at Dell (Barton George), so I think things are pretty
well set now. I'll double-check in a bit to make sure that things are
fixed and that there's a nice LO logo in the configuration options.
Regarding a LO logo, I pointed George at this page:

If someone/some company needs a LO logo, is that the best place to send them?
What if they want a logo that's closer to a square (but still has the LO text) ?

Yes that is the page. We also have more resources on our Marketing and
Design Resources wiki page[1].
IMO, instead of taking a passive role and letting Dell look for a logo,
we should be offering our services in helping them and providing a logo
that is satisfactory for their marketing of LibreOffice.
If you are in contact with George again, it may be beneficial for us to
get their requirements and then see if we can come up with a
satisfactory logo that will suit their needs.
