Instead of Homeland Security, TSA, or the Patriot Act what should have happened after 9-11 was (1)The repeal of the 25,000 gun laws presently in effect(2)Remove all metal detectors and x-ray machines from airports(3)Allowing passengers and crew to fly armed. Those hijackings would never have succeded if people were not forced to be defenseless. Even tasers or stunguns would have given them a chance to survive. Six years ago the government failed. Not just once, but four times on the same day. All the alphabet soup agencies couldn't stop a handful of fanatics armed with box cutters, and no sky marshals were on any of those flights. Now we are supposed to believe that more of the same will protect us. Next time some politician or beuracrat tells you that you don't need a gun, ask them why they have armed bodyguards or Secret Service protection. Better yet, ask if they would support a law that says NO ONE, including police or federal agents be armed. See what they have to say to that.
