> the news here is the open warfare within the Paul camp. Dondero says that Lizardo has resigned, and a blog commenter at Reason says the resignation came last week.
There may be less here than meets the eye. I've previously predicted -- and still predict -- that Paul won't be seeking re-election to his House seat. If Lizardo has, in fact resigned, then it may have been something he was planning to do anyway, and only the timing of it purposed to make a point. I don't know Lizardo, but if he wants to continue working on the hill AND doesn't expect Paul to be in Congress after November, he may be looking for his next employer already (for that matter, he may have timed his resignation to please that next employer). If that next employer is an incoming freshman, he'll want his future chief of staff to spend the summer helping run a campaign, not herding a lame duck's ducklings.
