Dear List,

I am a graduate student conducting research on California Sea Lions, and I need to remove the upper canines from the cleaned skulls.  I am having difficulty extracting the teeth; I would prefer not to cut into the bone so that the rest of the skull remains intact.  So far we have tried macerating and also using a tooth-extraction tool, but there has not been a great deal of progress as the roots are so large.  Any suggestions that you may have are greatly appreciated.

Thank-you,
