PROJECT TITLE: CAPRICORNIA CETACEANS PROJECT The Capricornia Cetaceans Project is conducting from April to June2008 a vessel-based expedition to study the diversity, distribution, and relative abundance of Cetaceans in the Southern Great Barrier Reef - Sandy Cape offshore waters. [http://www.capricorncetaceans.com/] (Under Expeditions) The Capricornia Cetacean Project is conducted by Daniele Cagnazzi PhD student at the Southern Cross University Whale Research Centre (SCUWRC), Southern Cross University, Australia, and Monica Mariani, research assistant Delphis group. http://www.capricorncetaceans.com (Under Staff) There is an opportunity for up to five interns to participate in the 10 days research expedition between April-June 2008. Interns will live aboard the expedition vessel for the entire period. The cost per week is $2890 Australian which includes accommodation aboard the expedition vessel, food, snorkelling and dives on the Great Barrier Reef (see specifications in the booklet), fishing, Islands discovery and more adventures. Interns are responsible for all costs associated with travel to and from Rosslyn Bay.
