Several marine mammal biologists were amongst those whose lives and homes were devastated by the earthquake that struck the central Peruvian coast in August. The Society for Marine Mammalogy is coordinating a relief fund to help rebuild libraries, offices and research collections destroyed by the earthquake. All funds raised will be made directly available to those affected. Please send checks made out to the Society for Marine Mammalogy (and identified for the Peruvian Relief Fund) to:
