Society for Marine Mammalogy Student Abstract Mentoring Service If you are a student submitting an abstract for either an oral or poster presentation to the upcoming 18th Biennial Conference on the Biology of Marine Mammals (to be held in Quebec City October 12-16, 2009) and English is not your first language, you are eligible for the abstract mentoring service. This service provides free editorial assistance with grammar and composition to abstracts that have been prepared in English. The idea of the mentoring service is to make sure that the original ideas of the student author are clearly expressed in English. This service will not translate abstracts into English or offer guidance with scientific content. The deadline for using this service is Sunday, March 1, 2009. Please submit your abstract in the proper format for submission to Lynne Williams ([email protected]) as soon as possible, but no later than March 1, 2009. Your abstract will be returned to you with suggested revisions as quickly as possible, with all abstracts to be returned by March 31, 2009. Abstracts received after March 1 will not be edited. Please note that you are responsible for the on-line submission of your abstract.
If you have any questions about the student abstract mentoring service, please contact Lynne Williams at the above e-mail address. More information on the upcoming Biennial Conference can be found on the Society for Marine Mammalogy?s website (http://www.marinemammalogy.org/). Thanks!
