Dear MARMAM folks, Does anyone know the current disposition the February 11 Manila Bay melon-headed whale stranding event? There are a few conflicting reports form the area from the press, but so far I have not found any unambiguous account or clear hypotheses on the potential cause.
Apparently there were necropsies on four individuals performed by Dr. Lemnuel Aragones of Ocean Adventure in Subic Freeport, and tissues were sent out to the Philippines Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
