Scientists from Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, the nation, and beyond will 
gather in Anchorage to inform each other about their research in the marine 
ecosystems of the Arctic, the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska.

A broad spectrum of ocean science
Plenary and poster sessions will feature the latest research on climate, 
oceanography, lower trophic levels, the benthos, fishes and invertebrates, 
seabirds, marine mammals, local and traditional knowledge, and socioeconomic 
research.

Colleagues, students and mentors connect
Word continues to spread about the Symposium's reputation as a gathering place 
to share innovative Alaska marine research. Students in ocean science connect 
with mentors and meet authors of the literature that they have been studying as 
part of their own work.

Free registration
Support from many sponsors allows registration to remain free of charge for 
attendees.

Abstract submission begins in October.
Abstract deadline is late November.
