Two WOW Cetacean courses remain for 2012, 3-5 July and 24-26 July. These are
three day courses with a nationally recognised qualification. Courses are
based around west Wales and combine class and field work. The emphasis is on
identification, biology, recording and sampling theory. These are not MMO
courses, but do compliment a typical MMO course, by placing much greater
emphasis on species identification and recording. Courses include the option
of boat work at an additional cost.

For more details, on WOW courses in general, see
http://coast.pembrokeshire.ac.uk/wow/ or for details of the Cetaceans course,
see http://www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk/courses/marine/225. Alternatively, contact
Powell Strong on
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.

Courses cost £140 per person. Funding may be available for persons employed in
an associated field and based in the south and west Wales area.
