I wonder if anyone has been tagging porpoises recently in NW Europe
using a tag of the following description passed to us by a fisherman
in UK coastal waters from last month:
"The tag was like a lollipop, the lolly part being a circular
orange/vermilion disc, about the diameter of a cricket ball, the end
of the "stick" was attached on the left side leading edge of the
dorsal fin, very obvious and visible. The porpoise was on its own
which is unusual in this area, particularly with all the sprat and
herring about just now."
