The two days of classroom sessions include practical work with Seiche equipment to enable delegates to get to familiar with a PAM system, its set up, operation and troubleshooting. There is an interactive PAMguard workshop where delegates work along with the instructor to build a functioning PAMguard data model. Simulated sources show how the effective use of detectors enables PAM operators to detect and localise vocalising marine mammals.
